ASAM defines, “Addiction is a treatable, chronic medical disease involving complex interactions among brain circuits, genetics, the environment, and an individual’s life experiences. People with addiction use substances or engage in behaviors that become compulsive and often continue despite harmful consequences.
Prevention efforts and treatment approaches for addiction are generally as successful as those for other chronic diseases like diabetes or hypertension. Still, people think that it’s all about will not a disease. We at Mindroot aware the people about addiction and help them to overcome this disease.

Continuing the same, we held a “Workshop on Substance Use Disorder & The Mindroot Foundation Psychiatric Award 2019”, where Dr Shri Gopal Goyal (MD Psychiatry, AIIMS New Delhi, Associate Professor (DIMHANS), SPMC Bikaner) delivered a lecture on Management of Alcohol& Nicotine Use Disorder. He taught the future doctors about assessment, evaluation and management of alcohol and nicotine dependence syndrome. We are thankful to sir for providing his valuable time, blessing and sharing the knowledge.
