Thriving Communities Update: Dr. Rajpal Deswal’s from HAU, Hisar visit to our Kheti-Badi site at Ojaria village was truly insightful! Today, he had a productive discussion with Dr. D S Poonia about the integration of our Kheti-Badi and Chopal initiatives for community well-being.
In the Kheti-Badi project, our focus remains on implementing a high-density, hybrid model with intercropping methods to foster organic and natural farming. Our diverse approach includes cultivating timber plants, fruit varieties, vegetables, cereals, and pulses using organic methods, supporting sustainable agriculture.

Moreover, the Kheti-Badi project has united with around 20 local businesses, promoting agritourism and dairy farming to bolster rural community development.
Simultaneously, our Chopal initiative, embedded within the Kheti-Badi project, prioritizes mental health intervention for the rural population. Through awareness campaigns, stigma combat, consultations, and yoga sessions, we aim to provide holistic care for mental well-being.
